Most of the snow melted down on Saturday. On Sunday morning, when the sun rose over the valley ridge, the snow remaining in the corkscrew willow tree (Salix matsudana 'Tortuosa', see http://www.mnpower.com/treebook/fact99.html) glared in the sunshine. I liked the contrast between the snow and the dark branches.
